Wooden deck connected to storage area | Image by David Santos Neves & Ferrão has completed the interior remodelling of a five bedroom villa in Setúbal, as well as its exterior arrangements which includes an outside storage, bathroom and technical area. This project incorporated a minimalist architectural type, sometimes referred to as "minimalism", which involves the use of simple design elements, without ornamentation. The results were impressive. This lovely deck is not only pleasing to the eye, but using this material is the most environmental choice. Wood is a renewable resource and is fuelled by solar power. Wood is also a solid material throughout and can be refinished several times throughout its lifespan. This is also a material that can be re-used. This may be an expensive aesthetic, but it is a two-in-one product which provides functionality as well as adding a decorative touch to your home. Bathroom suite | Image by Catarina Cabrita This is the bathroom suite, which boasts a centred shower. The basins are made of microcement, also known as micro-concrete. A mirror extends across the wall, giving this spacious bathroom an even bigger and brighter appearance. The toilet is located on the opposite side of the suite. Staircase guarded by glass railings | Image by Catarina Cabrita This staircase is made of natural mahogany wood, guarded by a glass railing. The floor is made of a light oak shaded laminate flooring and plastering was applied to the walls. The duration of these works took about six months to complete.
